Quality Assurance Technician / Inspector

Implant Direct LLC, a state-of-the-art dental implant manufacturer, located in Calabasas seeks experienced Quality Assurance Technicians to inspect raw materials, in process, outsourced, purchased, or modified products following cGMP compliance for Class II medical devices. Must speak, read and write fluent Japanese.

Job Duties and qualifications include:

·         Perform complex (with tolerances of .0005”) mechanical dimensional and visual first article, in-process and final inspections per blueprints and/or written specifications using designated inspection tools (i.e., micrometers, calipers digital (dial) indicators, optical comparator, ring, pin or thread gages, and when required optical computerized numerically controlled measuring system.

·         Record part numbers, lot numbers, quantities, inspection dates and results in log entry form to record accurate product history records for each product inspection task performed.

·         Inspect product within estimated time requirements.

  • Calculate and set controls for inspection equipment to regulate proper inspection.
  • Visually inspect titanium nitrate coating for chips, color, contamination, and coating location.

  • Report all suspect / non-conforming products to QA Manager.
  • Start up and observe operation of measuring inspection equipment to ensure proper operation and to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance concerns. Adjust machine controls and verify accuracy of settings as required.
  • Monitor job order process to ensure inspection tools are within calibration and machine continues to produce a quality product.
  • Inform CNC machine operators of any out-of-tolerance conditions or acceptability of product based on specifications.
  • Must have a minimum 2 years QA mechanical inspection experience required, or a combination of education, technical training and/or related experience.
  • Basic understanding of calibration program, statistical process control program, and thread specifications and classifications.
  • Must possess experience with ANSI Y14.5 Geometric Tolerance and ANSI 1.4 Sampling Plan.
  • Must speak, read and write fluent Japanese. 

The right person for this position must be a highly organized, independent, detail- oriented self-starter who is focused on service and has excellent communication skills. Must have the ability to multi-task and interface effectively with all levels of staff in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.  Must speak, read and write fluent Japanese.
